Where Dreams Live focuses on the innovative people, energy and science on campus
On Sunday, Feb. 9, during the Super Bowl, CU Anschutz will return to televisions and airwaves across the Denver metro area with a vibrant new marketing campaign. Titled Where Dreams Live, the campaign presents an imaginative take on the spirit of innovation that powers the people and life-changing work taking place on our campus every day.
“Where Dreams Live captures the essence of what makes CU Anschutz such a special place – a shared spirit of innovation and an unwavering commitment to changing the face of medicine,” said Chancellor Don Elliman.
The creative inspiration for Where Dreams Live is rooted in the voices and perspectives of CU Anschutz faculty, staff and students. “To prepare for this campaign, we held discussions with people across campus at all levels,” Elliman said. “What we heard was a resounding theme of what makes this campus extraordinary: the courage of our people to think and dream bigger.”
Featuring our people
The Where Dreams Live campaign features two CU Anschutz faculty members – Manali Kamdar, MD, clinical director of lymphoma services in the CU Division of Hematology, and Wendy Tzou, MD, FACC, FHRS, professor of medicine and director of cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

A bold new chapter, built on momentum
Integrating CU Anschutz faculty into Where Dreams Live thematically connects the new endeavor with previous campus advertising campaigns, while taking things in a bold new direction creatively.
“This campaign tells our story in a truly imaginative way,” said Kathy Green, vice chancellor of marketing and communications for CU Anschutz. “Our previous marketing campaigns expanded awareness and further elevated the reputation of our campus. Where Dreams Live captures what brings our people and our patients together every day: the dream of a brighter, healthier tomorrow. Telling this ambitious story is only possible due to the incredible cross-campus collaboration that is a hallmark of CU Anschutz.”
Launching our ‘Dreams’
On Feb. 4, Elliman hosted a campus launch event for the Where Dreams Live campaign at the Anschutz Health Sciences Building. The event included a sneak peek of the new commercial, print ads and other campaign creative materials. The party decor was straight out of a dreamscape and the crowd was abuzz with excitement for the new campaign and their dreams for their future at CU Anschutz.
“It’s your dreams and discoveries that have brought us to where we are,” said Chancellor Elliman at the launch party. “Your energy and expertise, drawn from the dreams that inspire and drive you, will help us take this campus where we want to go.”
The Where Dreams Live campaign is scheduled to run through the spring. The airwaves won’t stay quiet for long, however, as the next phase of the new campaign enters production soon and will debut this fall.
